Description:
A 150-minute online certification program to educate and empower individuals who supervise any youth activities. The program earns coaches 3 PD credits towards NCCP Maintenance of Certification and is recognized by Sport Canada as “Safe Sport” accredited training. The program provides learners with the skills and knowledge to lead with integrity, responsibility, and respect. Important themes include:
- The influence you have as a trusted mentor and role model,
- Your legal responsibility and “Duty of Care”,
- How to prevent bullying, abuse, harassment, and discrimination (BAHD).

A. Definitions, descriptions and examples of prohibited behavior as outlined in the UCCMS;
B. Signs and symptoms of the various types of maltreatment;
C. Information regarding the duty to report for any concern within and outside of child protection; and
D. Scope of application of the UCCMS to Canadian sport.
